We recognize that climate change is one of the most serious threats facing the country, worsening water scarcity, damaging agricultural lands, and increasing the vulnerability of already fragile communities. Yemen Aid has seen firsthand how drought, flooding, and shifting weather patterns disrupt daily life, strain essential services, and undermine livelihoods across rural and urban areas. Our climate work focuses on practical, community-centered actions that help people adapt to these changing conditions and reduce the risks that extreme weather and environmental degradation create. This includes strengthening local capacities, supporting climate-resilient livelihoods, and engaging national actors to build a collective response to Yemen’s growing climate challenges. Yemen Aid also plays a leading role in shaping national dialogue on climate through initiatives such as the Aden Climate Conference, bringing together government institutions, experts, and development partners to chart a more sustainable path forward.
