Supporting public institutions in Yemen through capacity building, technical partnerships, and systems strengthening for more effective long-term service delivery.
Strengthening Institutions for Sustainable Impact
In recent years, Yemen Aid has expanded its work past direct service delivery to include targeted institutional support to public sector entities. This shift builds on our long-standing engagement with local authorities and our practical understanding of how systems function on the ground.
Our approach focuses on strengthening the institutions that underpin service delivery. Rather than operating in parallel, we work alongside government counterparts to enhance their capacity, improve systems, and support more effective and sustainable outcomes.
We are currently engaged in a number of institutional partnerships, including:
Working with the Ministry of Water and Environment under a formal Memorandum of Understanding to deliver institutional assessments, capacity building, and technical support to the Water and Sanitation Corporation Supporting the establishment and operationalization of a technical unit within the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, providing policy, coordination, and implementation support
Contributing to the development of investment-ready studies and technical frameworks to strengthen infrastructure planning and service delivery.
This work is grounded in a practical, delivery-oriented model. We combine field experience and technical expertise with structured analysis to support institutions in identifying gaps, improving internal processes, and strengthening coordination with partners.
As we continue to grow this portfolio, our focus remains clear: to support national institutions in delivering services more effectively, strengthening governance systems, and ensuring that interventions are sustainable over the long term.
